Think switching banks is a hassle? You haven't switched to First National. We've designed a switch system to make it easy for you to move your automatic payments and direct deposits and close your old accounts. To take advantage of this system, simply follow these simple steps.
- OPEN your new First National checking and savings accounts. Click here to find a branch convenient to you.
- STOP using your existing accounts, and allow time for any outstanding checks, final deposits, and/or automatic withdrawals to clear. Make certain enough funds are available in your former accounts to cover these transactions. Once everything has cleared, simply bring in your former checks and we'll shred them for you.
- REVIEW the Direct Deposit Check List. First National's Direct Deposit Check List will help you to contact the companies and financial institutions that handle your automatic deposits.
- SWITCH your automatic payments. Use the Automatic Payment Check List to contact companies and financial institutions that process your automatic payments and charges. This includes anyone who makes automatic withdrawals from your account(s).
- COMPLETE your First National NetTeller Application so that you can access and manage your accounts online.
- CLOSE your former accounts. Send a written notice to the financial institution that you are closing the account.
