Residential Mortgage Loan Originator

Function:

Increase loan production by generating residential mortgage loans.

Duties:

1. Responsible for developing new residential loans that conform to the policy and procedures of the bank and its investors by:
   A.) Soliciting realtors, builders and other sources
   B.) Following-up on internal referrals and leads
2. Takes applications for residential mortgage requests and prepares mortgage pre-qualifications,
   when necessary.
3. Collects the proper documentation necessary to proceed with loan processing.
4. Acts as a liaison between processor/underwriter and customer, assist mortgage processor/underwriter as needed.
5. Distributes rate sheets to realtors and builders.
6. Counsels with Supervisor, Senior Real Estate Loan Officer and/or senior management.
7. Presents mortgage applications to Loan Committee and/or Board of Directors, if necessary.
8. Ensures that all underwriting conditions are received and acceptable prior to loan closing.
9. Provides activity reports to Senior Residential Mortgage Loan Officer as needed.
10. Attends mortgage loans settlements.
11. Participates in Business Development program and conducts seminars.
12. Assumes other responsibilities as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Two year/Associate degree or equivalent
• 2 years mortgage banking or 1 year loan origination experience
